Franco Amore, policier honnête qui n’a jamais dû sortir son arme en 35 ans de service, s’apprête à passer sa dernière nuit de fonction. Celle-ci prend un tournant inattendu lorsqu’une fusillade fatale éclate à la suite d’un vol de diamants. S'ensuit une nuit haletante dans les rues sombres de Milan, où Amore risquera tout ce qui lui est cher en attendant la levée du soleil.
