Dans une bourgade du New Jersey, Barbara pose des pièges à géants. Cette adolescente marginale, harcelée à l’école et fan de Donjons et Dragons , se prépare à l’inéluctable affrontement avec ces créatures mythiques. Adapté du roman graphique homonyme, ce premier long métrage féérique du réalisateur oscarisé Anders Walter nous donne la force d’affronter nos peurs. Porté par un casting féminin de haut vol, cette ode à l'imaginaire fera couler plus d’une larme.
