The movie

A young Danish urban couple want to rekindle their relationship by moving to the countryside. Soon, they meet their doppelgangers and must fight for their survival.

A couple of young Danish artists and their son Nemo move from Copenhagen to an isolated forest house in Sweden in the hope of rekindling their relationship. Their son’s disappearance brings them face to face with their doppelgangers. The fight for survival is on.

The Scandinavian forest should have been the ideal backdrop for a young couple to get some quality time together. Tough luck: in Superposition, the forest is an ordeal. The branches become prison bars, and the woods a distorting canvas. Horror is in the eye of the beholder. Ready for some Nordic frights?

Director Karoline Lyngbye finished her degree at the Danish national film school in 2013. She was nominated for a Robert award (the Danish Oscars) with her graduation film Pointy Elbows, Bleeding Knees, which explored the rivalry between two sisters. Superposition is her first feature film.
