The movie
A poor and lonely coal seller trades his heart to a demon of the forest, hoping to improve his condition. It won’t be long before the consequences of his actions catch up to him… Shot in the early 1930s and found again in 2015, Das Kalte Herz is a fascinating accomplishment. The spellbinding silent film stars famous Swiss director Franz Schnyder in one of his few roles as an actor. A true blast from the past!
