Keiko Mask
Nagamine Takafumi
Japan, 2004, 70'
The movie
Who would have thought that one of the most obscure superheroes came from Japan, and more precisely was written by Go Nagai ? Kekko Kamen is no other than a superhero with boots and a red cape, wearing a mask trimmed with rabbit ears. Despite this rough array of accessories, she emerges most summarily clad. Her mission as usual : to avenge a poor student (with an unbuttoned shirt), the victim of a gang of sadistic professors. Kekko’s strength comes from her hips, which she uses on her adversaries by suffocating them with her crotch. Adapted from a successful cartoon, itself inspired by a manga, it is now the fiction film’s turn to weaken the well-off and corrupt the elite. Kekko Kamen, above all, takes after the Hentai, those pornographic mangas in which everything is permitted, but where – God save us – not all is shown!
