VAMPIRE COP RICKY
Si-myung Lee
Republic of Korea (South Korea), 2006, 113', Swiss Premiere
The movie
Nah, a dirty and incompetent cop, is bitten by a mosquito, victim to an escapade in Transylvania, that gives him super powers and a huge taste for fresh blood. The catch is that Nah transformes himself into a vampire every time he has an erection! With a girl friend who sells lingerie, Nah quickly finds himself in some embarrassing situations - desperate he turns to a man of the church to control his drives. This is when a gang of thugs that he crossed decides that it is payback time. After 2009 Lost Memories was presented in the International Competition at the 2002 NIFFF, the Korean Lee Si-myung delivers us a comic parody packed with action. In short, far from cloves of garlic and gothic castles, Vampire Cop Ricky is a smart and wacky vampire movie!
