The movie

David is an artist distraught with grief over his daughter‘s accidental death. One day, he discovers a door that transports him back in time to the moment just before the tragic event. How is he to react to this unfathomable return to the past, to this bizarre parallel world? The Door combines elements of different genres: supernatural thriller, philosophical fable, conspiracy theory... Our hero, caught in a web of intrigue and emotion, and faced with a never-ending series of thorny and inconceivable situations, must think on his feet and improvise quickly. Mads Mikkelsen delivers an intense performance, at once energetic and tormented ; he reflects the state of crisis his character finds himself in. The Door takes the viewer on a ride full of surprises, without ever letting us anticipate the final outcome.
