The movie
Frustrated detective Sang-gil is assigned another apparently routine homicide case. He begins to investigate, but soon realises that this was a premeditated murder forming part of a conspiracy of frightening proportions. Blinded by ambition and supported by his new partner Eun-young, he stubbornly throws himself into the investigation, which leads him to a mysterious beast... A surprising thriller, Howling draws strength from its two main characters, each driven by personal motives : one by a desire for promotion, the other by the will to free herself from the sexism that surrounds her. Furthermore, the film features a well-known face from Asian cinema, that of Song Kang-ho (The Host, Memories of Murder).
