Everything seems perfect in Erin Island, a pretty little Irish fishing village. But then enormous blood-sucking tentacled creatures begin to emerge from the sea ! The villagers are literally drained of blood one after another. But the local police, ready to do anything to save their village, realise that these monsters are allergic to alcohol. In other words, intoxicated people are poisonous for them... The desperate locals realise that they need to get drunk in order to survive. The pints of cold Guinness will be flowing like never before ! Grabbers was the brainchild of scriptwriter Kevin Lehane. Fed up with mosquito bites, he wondered one evening if a high level of alcohol in his blood would get rid of them. Even though his plan did not work, it did at least give him a zany idea for a genre film ! But don’t use this as an excuse to go drinking after the film... Just grab a beer !
