The movie
Is man dog’s best friend ? Following the implementation of a tax on cross-breeds, Lili's father decides to let their faithful companion loose on the streets. The young 13-year-old daughter then does everything she can to find him. Meanwhile, stray dogs decided to rebel against humanity that has abandoned them. Tough the plot may seem naive, it’s visceral violence soon gives it mythological proportions. Winner of the Un Certain Regard selection at the Cannes film festival, White God is a political film about exclusion that glides skillfully and effectively between fantasy and horror. Kornél Mundruczó films dogs like humans, delivering a sublime visionary tale, full of incredible scenes. A technical and visual masterpiece, this gem will intelligently keep you on the edge of your seat. Watch out, the dogs are loose.
