The cliché would have vampires living in old castles in Transylvania. This is however not the case for 379-year-old Viago, 183-year-old Deacon, 862-year-old Vladislav and 8000-year-old Peter, who share a home in Wellington, New Zealand. Together, they must overcome the little problems of everyday life, such as a fair division of chores, or their constant thirst for blood. Modern life adds much inconvenience to the usual problems such as mirrors and daylight… With this hilarious mockumentary, the team behind the legendary series Flight of the Conchords once again show their ability to innovate. Building their characters with tremendous efficiency, Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement define each vampire according to the period he is from, thus creating hilarious mismatches. Delightfully morbid, What We Do in the Shadows proves to be one of the funniest movies of the year. Already a fan favorite !
