When the director of Persepolis makes a genre piece, we end up with this incisive gem in which a psychotic Ryan Reynolds imagines himself living in a candy-pink world and flirts with the charming Gemma Arterton. Also, he has long talks with his sadistic cat and his suave dog. Trashy, funny and with one foot in the musical, The Voices is a breath of fresh air in the slasher genre, and proves once more that cats can be a bunch of despicable bastards !
