The movie

Ishii (Yoshihiko lnohara) asks Asai (Junichi Okada), a young bottle-washer in a restaurant, to replace on the spot one of the competitors in a fixed Thai boxing match. Asai finds himself on the boxing ring without knowing anything about this sport. As luck would have it, he knocks his adversary out, thus initiating a series of events that will induce profound changes in both his life and lshii's and lead two gang members and two businessmen into problems. After "Drive" presented last year in Neuchatel, "Hard Luck Hero" is yet another film on fate in which Sabu narrates the same event and its consequences from three different points of view. Thanks to Sabu's know-how, "Hard Luck Hero" is both an original comedy and a breathtaking action movie.
