The movie

Junie (Vhong Navarro) is an ice-cream salesman with a problem: he has a phobia about cockroaches. While cleaning his boss's warehouse, he accidentally swallows a mutant spider and transforms into Gagamboy – i.e. Spiderboy. Like any other standard superhero, he can jump very high and run extremely quickly, but his specificity is his ability to produce an orange slime from the palms of his hands that enables him to find an easy escape to all kinds of weird situations. As might be expected from a superhero, he will use his talent to defend the good, the poor, and the oppressed. His superpowers will also come in handy to snatch out the beautiful Liana (Aubrey Miles) out of the clutches of his enemy, the infamous lpisman – i.e. Coackroachman (Jay Manalo). Superheroes are an established tradition in Filipino cinema. "Gagamboy". Matti’s Asian adaptation of Spiderman is an unbridled tribute to the universe of comics superheroes.
