The movie

Teru (Satoshi Tsumabuki), Ako (Sayaka) and Nobuo (Takanori Yamada) are coming back from a school trip. As their train enters a tunnel, an earthquake occurs, and the three teenagers find themselves trapped underground. Because the tunnel is about to collapse and the rescue squad is nowhere to be seen, Teru and Ako find their way up the air conditioning system, leaving the newly crazed Nobuo behind. But the situation on the surface is as desperate as in the tunnel they have just left. Adapted from Minetaro Mochizuki's comics, "Dragon Head" is a film about no less than the end of the world, in which the audience is invited to share Teru's and Ako's efforts to find Tokyo. Their quest is one for survival in a world covered with ashes. This film was entirely shot in Ouzbekistan – hence the impressive decors and ambiance – which constitutes a premiere in Japanese cinema. "Dragon Head" is a dark and pessimistic movie that will certainly catch your imagination.
