The movie
During the American Civil War, a group of prisoners evades on board a balloon. Caught in a storm, they are diverted from the American coast and land on a desert island. Constantly on the lookout for hidden dangers, they stick together for survival. Mysterious Islands is also the opportunity to meet again with yet another character created by Jules Verne, Captain Nemo from Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.
