The movie

Just how far would you be willing to go for the home of your dreams? As a child, the young Cheng could admire the Victoria Port from her apartment in Hong Kong. But since then, buildings have popped up like wild mushrooms, blocking her view of the water. Extremely annoyed, the young woman tries to save up enough money to buy the ideal apartment with a panoramic view. But she continues to have trouble meeting the skyrocketing real estate prices. So Cheng adopts a radical method to deflate the price tag on her future home sweet home: dissuade potential buyers by bumping off the buildings’ residents! Faced with the horrific – but very real – escalation in housing prices, Pang Ho-Cheung doesn’t panic. On the contrary, he finds inspiration to make a memorable film, as violent in its form as it is shocking in its content. Paying homage to Hong Kong while at the same time criticizing a problem that is widespread across the globe, Dream Home proposes an efficient solution, but one without morality. It’s a film to share with your real estate agency.
