Bereaved by the death of her partner, Ruth finds herself alone and pregnant. When she starts hearing voices, she realises her unborn child is speaking to her, asking her to commit murders. Written and directed by Alice Lowe (who also stars), Prevenge is a satirical take on maternal instinct and the condition of women in the absence of father figures. A promisingly ravishing directorial debut.
