After witnessing the killing of her family, a young girl hires a warrior to avenge them. This rude, brutal assassin also happens to be an immortal. Miike makes a glorious comeback to the samurai film with this adaptation of the eponymous manga. After 13 Assassins, the director once again deconstructs the rules of the chambara in an astounding outbreak of violence. This is an insane, graphically exhilarating action movie.
