Two brothers who fled from a mysterious cult years ago receive a strange tape that drives them away from their boring routine and back to their previous life. Looking afresh at this community that seems to live a simple and sane life, the siblings must soon question their choices, relationships and memories, while an arising foreboding danger threatens to bring about life-shattering revelations. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, the two geniuses behind Resolution (NIFFF 2012) and Spring (NIFFF 2015), are back with a bang thanks to their very Lovecraft-inspired third feature. Developing themes already present in their first film, the versatile filmmakers – directors, writers, editors, and even main actors in this case – give The Endless an intimist and apocalyptic feel.
