The movie

There are thousands of girls like Sarah in Los Angeles. Beautiful budding actresses, forced to work in second-rate fast food joints while hoping for a role in Hollywood. So, when a producer calls her back after a casting, she thinks she’s won the jackpot. But, Sarah soon realizes she will have to do more than she planned in order to achieve her goals. Thus, she finds herself faced with a dilemma : to preserve her integrity and refuse the role or stray from her moral principles to seize this great opportunity, even if it means selling her soul to the devil. With Starry Eyes, Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsh deliver a terrifying metaphor for Hollywood, taking the form of a descent into hell. Led by a stellar performance from their lead actress, the film seems like a more terrifying version of Sunset Boulevard infused with a healthy dose of carnal horror à la Cronenberg. Hold on tight, the fall might hurt !
