After a painful relationship, Gloria meets Michel. And unconditional love blooms. Her all-consuming passion leads her to become an accomplice to this scammer of widows. Shot in 16 mm and natural light, Alleluia is in the vein of feverish Calvaire (NIFFF 2005), Fabrice Du Welz’s first feature. The Belgian director brilliantly depicts a romance which ignores morals and flourishes somewhere between horror and monstrosity.
