The movie

When I was about 15 years, I went to the cinema alone to see this film that I didn't know anything about and I remember that it was the first time a film and the music of a film really touched me emotionally. I was dreaming about the beautiful music that plays during the big war scenes and when I heard the shakuhachi flute it made me want to cry. Since then Toru Takemitsu has been one of my favourite composers.
