The movie

Kuala Lumpur, 1908. Duyao sells noodles on Petaling Street and his life is not easy. Lichun, his wonderful wife, refuses to sleep with him and forces him to wear a chastity belt ; two gangs of hooligans constantly try to pick quarrels with him (his stall is right in the middle of their territory) ; and then there’s the colonial government, incapable of managing local conflicts. The arrival of a martial arts expert turns his life upside down. Malaysia’s very first martial arts comedy comes to Switzerland ! Crammed with saucy jokes worthy of Stephen Chow’s early films, this excellent piece of entertainment, ultimately a cult film, was written by the author of Histeria (NIFFF 2009).
