Republic of Korea (South Korea), 2011, 143', European Premiere
The movie
From a very early age, Jun-shik and Tatsuo have been competing with each other. Although their nationalities are different (one is Korean, the other Japanese), they fight for a common objective : to win a medal at the Olympic Games. But war breaks out, forcing them to give up their dream and enlist. Even so, their rivalry continues through the conflict; a common thread that links them through numerous epic battles. A true spectacle of assumed grandiloquence, My Way is a modern epic which excels itself in terms of plot and artistic licence. The fighting, gory and aesthetic, provides impressive sequences and highlights the technical beauty of this masterpiece of Korean cinema.
