The movie
Seok-woo, a lonely researcher, goes on a blind date – complete with a barbecue, a beautiful woman and zombies ; the robot RU-4 achieves a kind of enlightenment, stirring up fear and respect in a world where human labour has been replaced by machines ; a wealthy family takes refuge in a nuclear bunker after it is announced that a meteor is heading straight for planet Earth... Doomsday Book is made up of three stories, arranged around a common futuristic theme : the end of the world. Each part of the trilogy explores a different genre (comic horror, science fiction, comedy), under the directorship of two stalwarts of Korean cinema, Kim Jee- Woon (I Saw The Devil) and Yim Pil-Sung (Antarctic Journal).
