1978. When his mother dies, young Nikolaj tries to find the meaning of his life. He throws himself into the burgeoning punk movement, while trying to manage his father’s optimistic excesses. It is hard to rebel when your own father encourages it ! By the same director as The Bothersome Man (NIFFF 2006), Sons of Norway explores the father-son relationship with sensitivity and humour, with the Sex Pistols in the background.
