In the middle of a divorce, Mary moves into a new house. Traumatized by her disturbed and violent future exhusband, she tries her best to move on. One night, the old phone left in the living room of her new home rings. On the other end of the line is a stranger: Rose. Sounding like a nice old woman, Mary starts a friendly long-distance relationship. But after a few phone calls, Mary starts to wonder about the mental health of her caller who claims she’s calling from the past. Things change radically as Rose starts to harass and even to threaten her... The Caller is one of those extremely rare surreal thrillers that is able to heighten the tension until the very end. With a strong cast (Stephen Moyer from the True Blood series and Rachel Lefevre from the Twilight saga), The Caller is based on a simple thought that we all tell ourselves from time to time: sometimes, we should simply let the phone ring without answering it!
