The movie

Who is Saint Nicholas, really? A nice old man who rewards well-behaved children? Wrong, he’s actually a bloodthirsty killer! During the Middle Ages, this priest fallen into disgrace travelled the world with his gang of thieves and murderers. Villagers taking the law into their own hands put an end to the gang’s ravages by burning them alive in their boat. But each full moon that occurs on December 5th, the day of his death, Saint Nicholas comes back from beyond the grave with his henchmen to avenge themselves. Frank and his friends are going to discover that tales are not always what they seem. Visually stunning and paced with a breathtaking rhythm, Saint is one of the rare films able to harmoniously inspire both fear and laughter. An uninhibited Dick Maas radically tarnishes the image of Santa Claus’ equivalent, allowing himself to make a few criticisms about consumer society. Indeed, the bearded man in red slaughters his victims just as he gives out his gifts: on a large scale!
