During the Spanish Civil War, two clowns with completely different personalities fight each other until the death for the love of a beautiful acrobat... Although clowns normally make us laugh, Alex de la Iglesia uses them here in a novel way, developping an intelligent metaphor for the tragic history of his country. A frightening yet moving film, about love and hatred, reason and madness.
