A husband in a hurry, an aggravated wife, a hyperactive son – all in an SUV in the middle of the Kazakh steppes! When the man decides to take a shortcut off the main road, the family finds itself lost in the middle of nowhere... and when the car’s engine dies, things take a turn for the worse. The wife explodes and the son bawls. With no cell phone network available, all they can do is spend the night in the car and wait until morning for help. But when day breaks, the father discovers that his family has disappeared... While searching for them, he comes upon an isolated house with curious inhabitants: a strange old man and his startling yet captivating daughter. The man becomes convinced that this odd couple is connected to the disappearance of his loved ones. Strayed, with its meaning of deviating from the main path, gives one the feeling of being completely lost in the vast expanse of the Kazakh steppe, without any idea of what has happened. As you follow this character who’s reached his limits, who’s deranged by eerie visions, and who has no bearings of his surroundings, be careful not to get yourself lost along the way...
