The movie
In the middle of the Algerian war, a group of soldiers receives orders to search for a military plane that has mysteriously disappeared in the desert. While the plane is promptly located, there are no survivors – all that’s left is a briefcase labeled “Top Secret”. Rebels suddenly attack and the hardened troop must retreat and find shelter. They end up in a strange citadel where they quickly discover that the threat isn’t coming from their enemies. Rather, their presence seems to have awakened the djinns – invisible, diabolical creatures that know how to play with the minds of their victims until they go mad. The longest night of the soldiers’ lives is about to begin… With an original screenplay, the directors have succeeded in a difficult task, managing to coherently combine the war film, the fantastic thriller and psychological manipulation. Inspired by Maghrebi mythology, the djinns exploit the deepest fears of their victims. Don’t hesitate to call for help if your fellow filmgoers start to lose their heads!
