The movie

Marie is a shut-in sportswoman who suddenly has to stop doing sports because of an infection. And as she is forced to rest, she discovers free time. She also decides to move into the flat of her new friend, Bobby, who lives on the left bank. Their relation first gives comfort to Marie, but when she discovers that Bobby’s ex-flatmate mysteriously disappeared a few weeks ago, she starts getting worried. She now does not trust her new boyfriend so much anymore and has nightmares about the Left Bank area: troubles that affect her health. Left Bank is similar to Roman Polanski’s Romary’s Baby: in both of these psychological and supernatural thrillers, the main character is a confused woman seeking her identity. Progressively alienated from the place she lives, from the man she thinks she loves and from her own body; Marie takes us with into her world made of doubts and obsessions. Will she be able to understand that people do not love each other for the same reasons? INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION www.linkeroeverthemovie.
