The movie

In a remote village of the Australian coast, the daily life of the inhabitants is regulated by a peaceful routine : they all work in the fish industry, they drink beers in the same pub and they know everything about each other. So, the fact that Jess and Rob cannot conceive a child is a secret for no one. One night, after a drinking session, Jess falls in the arms of a young and clueless man named Erwan, who hit on her. The whole village soon learns about her sudden pregnancy. But needless to say that the party will soon be over. Crazy in love with jess, Erwan wants his paternity to be recognized. She tries to talk him out of doing it, but in vain. The babyface turns into a merciless persecutor, threathening to turn in the whole story and to turn the village upside down. The frame of this horrific thriller is wisely set. The smells of fish and beers literally spread in this wild and foggy nature. One can even smell the freshness of the air… We feel like going in the house, but Ewan is in front of the door and he doesn’t seem happy. Terrifying to say the least !
