The movie

Chow Ti (Stephen Chow) is a modest worker who lives alone with his son Dicky. They are not rolling in it, but Chow Ti puts most of his meagre salary aside in order to give his son a good education. As for Dicky, he is frequently the target of his rich school-friends’ taunts. One day, Chow Ti finds a strange green globe in a rubbish dump. He gives it to his son and tells him that it is a brand new toy. During the night, the globe turns into a cute extraterrestrial that changes the young boy’s life. Funny and dramatic at the same time, the new Stephen Chow (Shaolin Soccer, Kung Fu Hustle) opus gives a touching portrait of unexceptional people, with the supernatural and fantastic touch that the director is particularly fond of.
