The movie

As a rule, every teenager of sound constitution looks forward to the prom ball as the occasion to party, drink more than reason permits, and make out with his or her one night partner. In this little town, this year’s prom runs the risk of being a bit special. Indeed, due to a toxic leak at a nearby nuclear plant, the dead lying in the local cemetery find a new youth and the desire to bring themselves to the attention of the living. For these newly awakened and starving zombies, the prom is the occasion to get a decent breakfast. The only people who can stop them are a bunch of geeks and losers not cool enough to be invited to the party... Preceded by a sound reputation, Dance of the Dead successfully mixes horror, adventure and comedy. Driven by a strong rhythm, Gregg Bishop’s lively and fun movie takes its place somewhere between the universes of George « Night of the Living Dead » Romero and John « Breakfast Club » Hughes.
