Darna is an icon of popular Philippino culture. Since her birth in the 1950’s under Mars Ravelo’s paint brush, Darna is represented in all media forms. Today we can count 14 local cinematographic adaptations dedicated to this cousin of the American Wonder Woman. Even though these film adventures were big Philippino box office hits, Darna is for the first time presented in a European film festival.
