The movie
The film is set in the South Korea of 1979, run by a dictator named Park and a ruthless military junta. One evening the President invites his three closest colleagues - the director of the Korean CIA, the head of security and his political secretary - to an official dinner. In order to liven up the party, two young ladies are invited, one of whom is a fashionable pop star. In the course of the evening, the head of the security services hatches a scheme to assassinate the President. This thrilling and extravagant scenario was selected at the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs which ran in parallel with the 2004 Cannes film festival.
