The movie

As is the custom, the whole family gathers to keep watch over the body of their mother who died in mysterious circumstances. A series of eerie and disturbing events occur. Many dark secrets still linger around the ancestral family house. Following “Gagamboy” which was screened at NIFFF’s last edition, the director Erik Matti is back in Neuchâtel again. He has made a radical departure from the humour of his previous film by producing “Pa- Siyam”, a strange and harrowing movie. Once again, the Philippine filmmaking industry shows its interest and diversity in the genre movie.
