The movie

Preceded by the delightful perfume of horror photo series as can be found on the web, the Ring series tell a dark tale of evil video tapes. As in the curse of Rascar Capac in The Seven Crystal Balls by Hergé, the tapes end up killing anybody who watches them. It all starts when Reiko a young reporter, eager for juicy scandals, discoversthis tape in which she finds out she has only one more week to live. In order to escape her death sentence, she goes looking after the spell casting video artist and tries to uncover his secrets. In addition to a very elaborate screenplay Ring 1 et 2 are characterized by an atmosphere of strangeness and fatality. A desperate chase full of ingenious suspense this follow-up is one of the most enjoyable and groundbreaking discoveries from the Far East.
