Welcome to Dark Meat City. After an accident, a pizza delivery boy starts having visions and finds himself involved in a muddy criminal case. Run’s grimy comic book comes to life in this adaptation he co-directed with Nishimi Shojiro (who worked on Akira and Batman: Gotham Knight ). References to manga, hip hop, pulp science fiction, wrestling, and GTA converge in this brazen adult animated film heightened by Toxic Avengers’ supercharged synth pads.
